VillageReach is currently leading, as part of a consortium set up with CHAI, the project to implement OpenLMIS, an open source logistics information management system for health products (medicines, vaccines and other inputs), which will be deployed in a pilot phase in Kinshasa and Maniema, following an initiative led within the Ministry of Public Health, Hygiene and Social Welfare of the Democratic Republic of Congo, funded by UNICEF with GAVI funds.
It is in this context that the VillageReach Country Office plans to recruit a startup or IT firm specializing in the implementation of digital health solutions. This startup or firm will be used for specific missions to support the Technical Team of the Consortium for the OpenLMIS DRC implementation project. The decision to recruit a startup reflects the deliberate intention of the VillageReach-CHAI consortium to leverage emerging local skills and expertise in open-source digital health solutions, with a view to the country's long-term adoption of OpenLMIS.
2. Scope of the mission
Within the framework of this tender, the selected service provider will be tasked with rapidly integrating into the ongoing implementation project of the OpenLMIS DRC solution, paying particular attention to its architecture, configuration, development, and the functional and technical specifications required for the project. They will provide qualified technical support to the Consortium team led by VillageReach, actively contributing to the implementation, deployment, and maintenance of the system, in accordance with established technical guidelines and standards.
The service provider will also be responsible for drafting, adapting, and translating user and administrator guides into French, as well as planning and conducting training sessions for different user profiles. They will ensure that these tools and capacity-building activities facilitate system adoption by relevant stakeholders and guarantee its optimal use within the project's operational context.
Furthermore, the service provider will ensure continuous technical support to maintain the stability, performance, and regular updates of the system, while also ensuring the efficient resolution of incidents and the improvement of functionalities. Finally, it will collaborate closely with the Consortium to promote the adoption, expansion, and sustainability of the OpenLMIS solution, and will provide any other technical support required within the scope defined by the project. |
